Responsibilities & Context:

 Production & Operations Management

  • Planning and Scheduling: Developing and implementing production plans and schedules to meet output goals.
  • Workflow Optimization: Monitoring processes, adjusting resource allocation, and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Resource Management: Ensuring adequate raw materials are available and managing inventory levels.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Overseeing machinery maintenance and ensuring equipment functions correctly. 

People Management

  • Staff Supervision: Hiring, training, scheduling, and providing performance feedback for production staff.
  • Motivation: Motivating employees to achieve factory targets and fostering a positive work environment. 

Quality & Safety

  • Quality Control: Establishing and enforcing quality standards to ensure products meet requirements.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all health and safety regulations and promoting a safe workspace. 

Financial & Strategic Responsibilities

  • Budget Management: Controlling the factory budget, minimizing costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Reporting: Preparing and presenting regular reports on production performance and key metrics (KPIs) to upper management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyzing data to identify issues and implementing innovative strategies for operational improvement. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Departmental Coordination: Working with engineering, logistics, sales, and HR to align production with overall business goals.
  • Client Relations: Maintaining sound relationships with clients and ensuring production meets customer demand.
