  • 08–10 years of experience in automobile / auto components manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is an added advantage.



Responsibilities & Context:

To oversee the daily operations of the automobile manufacturing plant, ensuring smooth production, high quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with safety and industry standards. The Factory Manager will lead cross-functional teams to achieve production targets, improve efficiency, and maintain world-class manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to meet delivery schedules.

  • Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

  • Monitor KPIs such as production output, efficiency, downtime, and yield.

  • Ensure strict adherence to quality standards.

  • Drive initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and warranty claims.

  • Supervise, train, and motivate production staff, supervisors, and engineers.

  • Develop skill enhancement and multi-skilling programs.

  • Enforce discipline, teamwork, and a culture of accountability.

  • Control manufacturing costs by reducing waste, energy consumption, and downtime.

  • Ensure efficient inventory management of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

  • Support budgeting and cost-reduction initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards.

  • Conduct regular safety audits, fire drills, and risk assessments.

  • Liaise with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, and Maintenance teams.

  • Provide regular MIS reports on production, quality, manpower, and costs.

  • Represent the plant in management review meetings.
