Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily food production activities to meet targets
∎ Ensure smooth operations of the production lines, minimizing downtime and wastage
∎ Monitor raw material usage, production schedules, and resource allocation
∎ Optimize production processes for increased efficiency and cost reduction
∎ Ensure timely delivery of finished food products as per market demand
∎ Implement and maintain food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, etc.)
∎ Ensure that food products meet quality specifications and regulatory compliance
∎ Conduct quality checks on raw materials, in-process, and finished products
∎ Work with QA/QC teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve standards
∎ Maintain hygiene and sanitation protocols within the factory premises
∎ Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and packaging materials
∎ Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
∎ Ensure proper storage and handling of perishable and non-perishable ingredients
∎ Optimize supply chain processes to minimize wastage and reduce costs
∎ Supervise and lead production staff, including operators, technicians, and supervisors
∎ Conduct regular training programs on hygiene, food safety, and equipment handling
∎ Assign tasks and monitor employee performance, providing necessary feedback
∎ Ensure a disciplined, safe, and productive working environment
∎ Ensure all machinery and equipment are properly maintained to avoid breakdowns
∎ Implement preventive maintenance schedules in coordination with the maintenance team
∎ Enforce workplace safety measures (PPE usage, fire safety, hazard identification)
∎ Conduct routine safety audits and corrective actions to prevent workplace accidents
∎ Ensure compliance with food industry regulations, labor laws, and environmental policies
∎ Maintain production logs, quality reports, and audit records
∎ Work with regulatory bodies for inspections, certifications, and licenses
∎ Address compliance gaps and implement corrective measures as required
∎ Monitor production costs and implement strategies for cost reduction
∎ Control raw material usage, energy consumption, and labor costs
∎ Analyze financial reports to improve factory profitability
∎ Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety
∎ Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and automation to improve efficiency
∎ Identify and adopt new food processing technologies for better quality and productivity
∎ Introduce innovative packaging and process improvements for sustainability
∎ Drive operational excellence through data analysis and process optimization
∎ Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production performance
∎ Communicate with senior management about operational challenges and solutions
∎ Coordinate with other departments like sales, logistics, and R&D for smooth workflow
∎ A Factory In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes, ensuring food safety, maintaining quality standards, and managing factory operations efficiently. Below are the key job responsibilities:

∎ 1. Production & Operations Management
