Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Expertise in using GSD (General Sewing Data) and other work measurement tools for accurate SMV calculation.
∎ Approve SMV for new styles after reviewing operation breakdowns and pilot runs.
∎ Monitor and compare SMV values for similar operations across units to maintain uniformity.
∎ Analyze new designs to assess production feasibility and suggest adjustments to reduce SMV without compromising quality.
∎ Conduct time and production study in the sewing line for critical processes or styles.
∎ Perform pre-production analysis for better productivity and critical analysis during the execution stage.
∎ Accurately calculate sewing thread consumption for all styles, considering seam types, stitch density, and garment specifications.
∎ Monitor thread wastage during production and recommend measures to minimize excess consumption.
∎ Attend PP meetings and take necessary steps to avoid unnecessary operations and requirements.
∎ Perform data analysis from various sources and create reports to support senior management decision-making.
∎ Work with CAD and Cutting Sections for proper fabric utilization as per booking and execution.
