Responsibilities & Context:
  • Prepare line layouts in consultation with management, ensuring efficiency and alignment with production goals.

  • Ensure the correct allocation of manpower in each operation line, adhering to budgeted requirements.

  • Identify productivity issues and communicate feedback to reporting authorities for prompt resolution.

  • Monitor line feeding methods and maintain accurate line feeding sheets for smooth workflow.

  • Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the sewing section and ensure compliance across the lines.

  • Identify bottlenecks in the production process and monitor individual efficiency for continuous improvement.

  • Prepare weekly individual and line efficiency reports, highlighting areas of success and areas for improvement.

  • Check pilot runs, identifying critical areas that need attention before bulk production.

  • Estimate and issue thread consumption requirements based on production needs.

  • Monitor the capacity and handling ability of new operators, providing necessary guidance and feedback.

  • Attend meetings focused on addressing low-efficiency areas, working with line management to implement solutions.

  • Prepare and maintain production reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

  • Analyze critical processes during layout preparation and propose solutions for improving production flow.

  • Follow up online input/output status and Work In Progress (WIP) control to ensure smooth operations.

  • Balance line capacity during line feeding stages, ensuring an even distribution of work.

  • Facilitate quick changeovers to maintain continuous back-to-back feeding of production lines.

  • Implement improvements in bottleneck operations, ensuring smoother production processes.

  • Ensure the implementation of standard operations, following up to maintain consistency and quality.

  • Assess operator skills for new joiners and during yearly evaluations, ensuring training and skill upgrades where necessary.

  • Prepare and maintain necessary reports as required for production monitoring and decision-making.
