MBBS with MPH (Epidemiology) with good academic background

At least 5 years’ experience in research or public health sector

Age limit: <40 years (in case of experience it might be relaxed)

Scope of Services:

Under the guidance (administrative and technical) of Director, IEDCR, H/she will coordinate the whole project activities assigned upon him/her. His/her activities are following:

• Coordinate project activity and response at project area or throughout the country on behalf of IEDCR

• Coordination role between government agencies, development partner, NGOs and private sector

• Assist in monitoring, supervision and administrative activities of project

• Arrangement of consultative meetings and workshops as required.

• Record and maintenance of meeting minutes and financial expenditure of the project activities

• Prepare or revise the Strategy, Guideline, SOP and work plan according to the recommendations

• Develop and implementation of EWARS dashboard

• Define climate sensitive disease thresholds that could trigger early warnings for potential outbreaks within the EWARS framework

• Arrangements for workforce training related to field work

• Coordination of training for field surveillance staffs

• Coordination with IEDCR & sentinel sites laboratory staffs for laboratory test results

• 80% of the time will be spent at field for regular field visits for coordination and other required purposes

• Develop educational materials for communities on climate sensitive disease prevention

• Monthly report writing

• Brief core working group of the project about the progress of work

• Take part in scientific writing

• Assist in submitting report to Global Fund regarding progress of the project

• Collaborate with other project staff (as appropriate) to prepare reports, develop materials and official communication to respond to information requests and otherwise fulfill project information sharing responsibilities.

• Report preparation on activities, lessons learned, challenges, and recommendations for future action

• To perform other duties or tasks assigned by Director IEDCR.

The Epidemioligst will get BDT 1,61,000 per month (BD-Taka One Lakh Sixty One Thousand)
