Job Context:
∎ This position is responsible for ensuring information systems` quality by analyzing, testing, and reporting software, and usability defects. Moreover, it is also required to drive the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment through the proper use of automated and manual tests to ensure the created software fits the purpose for which it is built. It also involves the analysis of the software and its associated systems, to avert risk and prevent issues, define acceptance tests, behavior specifications, and exploratory testing scenarios, and execute them using various techniques and tools.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identify and track defects and provide issue reports on demand
∎ Nurture stories through development and testing until completed
∎ Manually test new features/stories
∎ Identify scenarios for automation and write scripts for execution
∎ Conduct regression test
∎ Participate in team activities such as planning and retrospectives
∎ Establish test plans and execute them before every release
∎ Report detailed issues/defects
∎ Analyze an issue detected and investigate further by going deeper into it
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 26 to 32 years
∎ Familiarity with one or more automated testing tools, and scripting languages
∎ Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman
∎ Knowledge of version control systems (like Git)
∎ Ability to configure testing environments
∎ Possess a passion for software testing
∎ Adaptive to working in a constantly evolving agile environment
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills
∎ Ability to take constructive criticism
∎ Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates, and meet production deadlines
