Experience:
Proven leadership in shift operations with strong troubleshooting skills.
Familiar with pump systems, valves, rotating equipment, maintenance planning, and safety protocols.
Mechanical system troubleshooting & analysis.
Shift leadership & team coordination.
Preventive maintenance scheduling & execution.
Safety & regulatory compliance.
Reporting, documentation, and data logging
Cooperate all mechanical activities during the shift in the WTP, ensuring continuity of service and optimal machine performance.
Monitor mechanical equipment such as raw/clear water pumps, sludge pumps, blowers, mixers, valves, dosing systems, gearboxes, couplings, and auxiliary systems.
Ensure proper start-up, running, and shutdown procedures are followed during shift handovers.
Identify deviations and respond promptly to faults, leaks, excessive vibration, noise, or abnormal readings.
Maintain accurate shift logs, equipment performance records, and handover notes.
Implement and ensure execution of preventive maintenance schedules as per approved plan.
Coordinate breakdown responses, troubleshoot mechanical faults, and drive corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Ensure lubrication, alignment, replacement of worn parts (seals, bearings, belts), and other routine maintenance tasks are carried out timely.
Track and document all maintenance activities per shift.
Ensure mechanical operations support water quality targets and effluent standards for process cooling, utility supply, and environmental compliance.
Enforce the use of PPE and adherence to Permit-to-Work systems.
Supervise and guide mechanical technicians and operators assigned to the shift; allocate tasks based on priority and competency.
Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, operations, and maintenance planning teams to align shift activities and preventive work orders.
Facilitate communication during shift handovers, ensuring all pending jobs are understood and documented.
Mentor and coach shift staff to maintain high discipline and performance standards.
Prepare and submit daily shift reports summarizing operations, mechanical issues, corrective actions taken, parts used, and recommendations for next shifts.
Maintain maintenance logs, inspection checklists, safety records, and spare parts usage documentation.
Provide key insights for trend analysis, condition monitoring, and continuous improvement actions.
Monitor critical spare parts inventory and immediate consumables during shift operations.
