Responsibilities & Context:
Ensure smooth and continuous operation of the multi-ply paper machine including headboxes, wire section, presses, and drying cylinders.
Monitor and control coating operations (on-machine or off-machine) to ensure proper application and product quality.
Check and maintain key quality parameters such as basis weight, moisture, thickness, Cobb value, stiffness, and whiteness.
Identify and troubleshoot operational problems such as web breaks, sheet defects, streaks, spots, and coating issues.
Coordinate with operators and assist shift team members to ensure smooth production during shift operations.
Ensure proper machine settings and operational adjustments for stable production and quality output.
Maintain coordination with maintenance and quality teams to resolve technical issues quickly.
Follow safety rules and ensure safe working practices across the shift.
Report production status, issues, and maintenance requirements to higher management.
