Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develops cutting plans based on production orders, ensuring optimal fabric utilization and timely delivery.
∎ Conducts quality checks on incoming fabrics to identify defects and ensure they meet specifications.
∎ Prepares and distributes patterns to cutting operators, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
∎ Oversees the maintenance and calibration of cutting machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
∎ Trains cutting operators on proper machine operation, safety procedures, and quality standards.
∎ Implements strategies to minimize fabric waste, such as optimizing layout and using efficient cutting methods.
∎ l: Conducts regular quality inspections of cut pieces to ensure they meet customer requirements and company standards.
∎ Identifies and resolves issues related to cutting operations, such as machine breakdowns, fabric defects, or quality problems.
∎ Provides regular reports on cutting performance, including production output, waste levels, and quality metrics.
∎ A Garments Cutting Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the cutting process in a garment manufacturing facility. They ensure efficient and accurate cutting of fabric to meet production targets while minimizing waste and maintaining quality standards.
