Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervise the daily activities of all embroidery personnel.
∎ Responsible for the quality of work and productivity of all staff previously listed.
∎ Meet the completion times of the production schedule.
∎ Provide daily numbers for production report and be able to explain variances.
∎ Manage all inventories or supplies that are utilized by the personnel being supervised to insure there is always an adequate supply with no need to expedite delivery.
∎ Maintain adequate inventory of thread, backing, bobbins, and needles to insure no loss of production time occurs.
∎ Create SOP for all areas of this department to insure quality and repeatability across staff members and shifts.
∎ Responsible for the evaluation and training of all personnel being supervised, this includes training in the operation of machinery.
∎ Must have a good understanding of digitizing of artwork for determination of revisions, sourcing and training of current staff to improve in-house digitizing.
∎ Must be able to schedule embroidery based on stitch counts/run times/machine capabilities.
∎ Recommend for pay increases, advancement, disciplinary action, and termination of personnel being supervised.
∎ Grow the current staff being supervised by challenging them to be more accountable, provoke self-thinking and implement cross-training in all areas (particularly where there is no back-up).
∎ Evaluate current processes to continuously find better ways of doing things.
∎ Responsible for the organization and cleanliness of all areas supervised.
∎ Must have a basic understanding of embroidery machine maintenance in order to maintain all equipment as outlined in owner's manuals.
∎ Enforce all company policies and procedures that are currently in place.
∎ Review labor needs daily and weekly to determine where reductions or additions are needed.
∎ Reports to the Chief Production Officer.
