1. Production Planning & Operations Management

• Plan, organize and control daily production activities to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

• Ensure achievement of production schedules and delivery commitments.

• Optimize machine utilization, manpower deployment and production capacity.

• Minimize downtime, production delays and operational interruptions.

• Ensure production activities are carried out as per approved procedures and operational standards.

2. Quality & Compliance Management

• Ensure production processes comply with customer specifications, product quality requirements and company standards.

• Maintain compliance with SSPPL Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 9001:2015 requirements, SOPs and safety procedures.

• Monitor process effectiveness and production quality performance.

• Maintain production records, reports and traceability documentation.

3. Production Performance Monitoring

• Monitor and report production performance indicators including:

  • Productivity

  • Machine efficiency

  • Downtime

  • Wastage

  • Process effectiveness

• Take corrective actions to improve operational efficiency and productivity.

4. Team Leadership & Workforce Management

• Lead, supervise and provide operational guidance to production personnel.

• Promote teamwork, discipline and accountability within the production department.

• Support employee development through communication, coaching and on-the-job training.

• Make timely and effective operational decisions during routine and emergency situations.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Maintain effective coordination with:

  • General Manager

  • Managing Director

  • Quality Assurance (Q.A.)

  • Store

  • Maintenance

  • HR & Administration

  • Suppliers and relevant stakeholders

• Ensure uninterrupted production through effective interdepartmental communication and coordination.

6. Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

Drive operational excellence through:

• Productivity improvement initiatives

• Waste reduction programs

• Process optimization

• Machine utilization improvement

• Lean manufacturing practices

• Employee skill development

• Continuous improvement implementation

7. QMS & ISO 9001:2015 Responsibilities

Support and maintain SSPPL Quality Management System by:

• Implementing and maintaining production-related QMS procedures and documented information

• Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 production requirements

• Supporting internal audits and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

• Monitoring production KPIs and quality objectives

• Supporting management review through performance reporting

• Applying risk-based thinking and identifying production risks and opportunities

• Promoting customer focus and continual improvement within production operations

8. Health, Safety & Workplace Discipline

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety rules and operational controls.

• Maintain safe working conditions within the production area.

• Promote safety awareness and enforce factory discipline.
