Experience:
Knowledge & Skills Strong
knowledge of electrical standards and regulatory codes for installation of switch rooms, service power, lighting, UPS systems, and voltage regulators.
Skilled in the installation of steel wire armored (SWA) cables up to 240mm.Ability to troubleshoot and maintain UPS systems (0.5–160 KVA) and voltage regulators.
Proficient with hand tools and electrical testing devices.
Understanding of installation and maintenance of renewable energy systems.
A. Installation & Infrastructure Development
Install electrical wiring, circuit systems, lighting fixtures, switches, sockets, and distribution boards in shelters, MPWCs, and office buildings.
Carry out installation and maintenance of solar power systems, DC components, and battery units.
Install and maintain public lighting systems, including pathway lights and safety lighting in community spaces.
Operate, install, and maintain diesel generators to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
Ensure all electrical works follow JNUS wiring and sizing standards, ensuring maximum safety and efficiency.
B. Maintenance & Repair
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all electrical systems.
Diagnose electrical faults using tools such as multimeters, ammeters, and voltmeters.
Repair faulty wiring, replace damaged circuit breakers, insulators, fuses, and switches.
Maintain and troubleshoot solar systems, including panel cleaning and battery monitoring.
Perform maintenance and minor repairs on air-conditioning units (window/split type).
Provide rapid response to urgent repairs and unexpected power outages.
C. Safety & Compliance
Ensure all works comply with local regulations, IEC, BS, and ANSI safety codes.
Inspect electrical installations to identify unsafe connections or fire hazards.
Follow safety protocols such as lockout/tagout and safe handling of power systems.
Ensure proper working procedures are followed in generator rooms and switch rooms.
D. Emergency Response & Support
Respond promptly to power failures in MPWCs or community facilities.
Address generator malfunctions and ensure quick restoration of services.
Support the setup of temporary power solutions during emergencies or new facility installation.
E. Administrative & Material Management
Maintain accurate logs of maintenance work, faults identified, and repairs completed.
Submit written material requests and track the use of electrical parts and consumables.
Maintain stock records for frequently used electrical items and report shortages.
Coordinate with logistics, construction teams, and other staff to support smooth project implementation.
Provide technical advice to colleagues on installations, modifications, and repairs.
F. Other Responsibilities
Inspect electrical services regularly to ensure quality performance and adherence to best practices.
Develop and improve maintenance procedures for electrical systems.
Undertake other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
