Job Responsibilities: Electrical Engineer (Real Estate Company)

1. Design & Planning

   • Prepare, review, and modify electrical designs and layouts for residential, commercial, and mixed-use buildings.

   • Ensure compliance with local building codes, electrical standards, and safety regulations.

   • Coordinate with architects and structural engineers to integrate electrical systems with overall building design.

2. Project Supervision

   • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, CCTV, communication, and access control systems.

   • Monitor contractors’ work to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.

   • Conduct site inspections and verify that electrical works are executed according to approved drawings and specifications.

3. Procurement & Cost Control

   • Prepare material requirements, specifications, and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for electrical components.

   • Evaluate supplier and contractor quotations to ensure cost-effective and technically sound solutions.

   • Monitor material usage and control wastage at site.

4. Maintenance & Operations

   • Support the operation and maintenance of completed projects (building services, backup power systems, elevators, etc.).

   • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system faults and breakdowns.

   • Develop preventive maintenance schedules for electrical installations.

5. Documentation & Reporting

   • Maintain accurate records of drawings, test results, and maintenance logs.

   • Prepare regular progress reports and update project management teams on status and challenges.

   • Assist in preparing as-built drawings and completion reports.

6. Health, Safety & Compliance

   • Ensure all electrical work comply with safety codes and company policies.

   • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments for electrical systems.

   • Coordinate with regulatory authorities for inspections and approvals.

7. Team Coordination

   • Work closely with mechanical, plumbing, and civil engineering teams for seamless service integration.

   • Supervise and train junior engineers, technicians, and site electricians.
