Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in any Discipline/ B.Sc in Textile Engineering from reputed University with MBA in Apparel Merchandising/MBA in Marketing
∎ Preferred Professional Certification: Having a Professional Certificate added extra advantage.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 12 to 15 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
2 to 3 years experience in same position., Factory Merchandising, Garments Merchandising
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for creating & performing Marketing Garments products.
∎ Supervise, coordinate and lead a merchandising team independently and should have vast knowledge on Knit & Woven garments.
∎ Independently manage product development, understand latest fashion trends, source new yarns and develop customer specific collections.
∎ Go the extra mile every day' for customers.
∎ Individual capable to handle profitable business.
∎ Setting KPI for the department.
∎ Takes responsibility for business development in new markets.
∎ Identifies avenues for new business initiatives / tie-ups / collaborations etc.
∎ Sound knowledge about Fabric, Trims, Accessories, Print, Embroidery etc.
∎ Establish, monitor and follow-up Critical Path / Time & Action Plan Management to ensure timely shipment.
∎ Should have technical sound knowledge in Garments costing & manufacturing process.
∎ Oversee and do costing and pricing of the garment and negotiations with the buyers to reach the final acceptable prices.
∎ Overseeing the update on production status, sampling & required information being provided by the merchandisers to the buyers.
∎ Manages relationship with key customers.
∎ Provides key inputs for the development of new products and markets.
∎ Identifies avenues for new business initiatives / tie-ups / collaborations etc.
∎ Scans the business environment to explore options for revenue generation from new and existing customers.
∎ Regularly collects and analyses competitor information through market intelligence and other sources.
∎ Negotiates price and value of company product with customers and finalizes orders.
∎ Coordinates with Operations and Integrated Planning for procurement, production planning, and timely dispatch.
∎ Should have knowledge to work through special imported fabric.
∎ Have to take care of all aspects of quality from initial to final stage of the production.
∎ Candidate must keep close liaison with buyers & Suppliers for any update of the production.
∎ Co-ordinate customers/ suppliers visits and deploys resources accordingly.
∎ To ensure the duties and responsibilities of subordinates as vested on them according to the organizational policy.
∎ To ensure proper planning to assure smooth operation within the team arrangement of briefing, training, coordinating, controlling and taking the timely decision.
∎ To take an active role while formulating the policy of the factory.
∎ Any other responsibilities assigned by the management

∎ Should be well-groomed, smart and energetic.
∎ Strong presentation and delivery skills.
∎ Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfection.
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English. Hindi will added extra advantage.
∎ IT proficiency - advance level skill is a MUST in MS Office package (Specially, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook).
∎ Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficiently.
∎ Ability to multi task and remain organized, meet deadlines.
