  • The Production DGM will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process —from planning to final output—to ensure that manufacturing runs efficiently, cost-effectively, and meets quality, safety, and delivery standards.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage large production teams in a fast-paced garment manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities & Context:

Production Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on the master production schedule.
  • Coordinate closely with Merchandising, Planning, IE, Cutting, and Finishing departments to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensure all production targets (output, quality, efficiency, and shipment deadlines) are consistently met.
  • Monitor WIP (Work in Progress) at every stage and ensure proper line feeding and output balancing.
  • Maintain effective control over input materials to prevent shortages or overconsumption.
  • Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
  • Analyze production performance and take corrective actions to address bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Implement lean manufacturing practices, 5S, Kaizen, and other productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Industrial Engineering (IE) team to establish SMV, line layout, and manpower planning.
  • Review and optimize production methods, machinery utilization, and workflow for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of machines with the technical team’s support.
  • Proficient in supervising all maintenance activities including providing technical inputs for participating better business practices.

Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain strict adherence to buyer quality standards at every stage of production.
  • Ensure inline and end-line quality inspections are properly conducted and documented.
  • Work closely with QA and finishing teams to minimize defects, alterations, and rework.
  • Uphold compliance with safety, environmental, and labor standards as per company and buyer requirements.
  • People Management & Leadership
  • Supervise and motivate production teams, including line chiefs, supervisors, operators, and helpers.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, skill gap analysis, and on-the-job training.
  • Maintain discipline, teamwork, and productivity across all production floors.
  • Encourage a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare and analyze daily production reports (output, efficiency, absenteeism, defects, and downtime).
  • Identify trends, deviations, and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Report production performance to senior management and participate in review meetings.
  • Cost Control & Resource Management
  • Monitor and control production costs, including labor, materials, and overheads.
  • Minimize waste, idle time, and overtime through proactive planning and efficiency measures.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for production-related expenses.

Coordination & Communication

  • Work collaboratively with all departments—Planning, Merchandising, Quality, Maintenance, HR, and Compliance—to achieve overall organizational objectives.
  • Maintain effective communication with top management regarding production challenges and proposed solutions.
  • Support management in buyer visits, audits, and compliance inspections.
  • Contribution to maintain on time right sample.
  • Fix Production plan with Planning Team & Head of Production and must execute in accordance of material and delivery.
  • Use the checklist to ensure: Implement Style Changeover Calendar, Preparation of Style Changeover, PP Activities, and During Input & Follow-up Activities.
  • Lead the total changeover activities and ensure.
  • All processes are qualified before proceed to next operation.
  • Capacity is determined after every two hours and achieved production based on capacity.
  • Check Hourly production & work on highest 3 defects.
  • Self-inspection, Process quality, Thread trimming & counting before give to next operator. (Sewing Supervisor & Q.C Supervisor).
  • Zero defect and achieve 60% Efficiency within 3-5 working days.
  • Take initiatives remedies for QA findings.
  • Ensure " hourly production check & work on highest 3 defects. And operators are in the practice of Self inspection, confirm process quality, thread trimming & counting before give to next operator. (Sewing Supervisor & Q.C Supervisor)."
  • Take initiatives remedies for QA findings.
  • Regular Material follow-up along with End-to-End capacity analysis of cutting and others supporting department to feed the line smoothly.
  • Follow up completion of production based on size/color breakdown as per Callan, inspection and packing accordingly.
  • Production of all POs must be finished one day prior to shipment.
  • Ability to work independently under the Factory Manager, and as part of a production team.
  • Abide by Compliance & company rules.
