Job Responsibilities:
∎ We are looking for a DevOps Software Engineer who enjoys taking part in the building, maintaining and monitoring of a cloud based, business critical service environment on AWS.
∎ You will be working with a highly skilled team of cloud engineers and developers with a clear focus on automation and monitoring.
∎ As a DevOps Engineer in you will be in frequent contact with our customers and responsible for the state of their service environment.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 4+ years of experience as an Operations Engineer and/or Developer
∎ Strong skills in (Bash/Python/Perl) scripting
∎ Self-motivated and proactive problem solver
∎ Willing to learn and adopt new technical skills
∎ Loves to automate repetitive tasks
∎ Must be a team player in a globally distributed team
∎ Must be very familiar with Unix/Linux (Redhat, Ubuntu, CentOs etc.)
∎ Solid experience with aws cli
∎ Good understanding and Hands on Amazon Web Services like EC2, Route53, RDS, S3, VPC, CDN (AWS CloudFront/ Akamai/ Others)
∎ Solid Experience in maintaining large complex JEE application
∎ Solid experience with MySQL, Tomcat, Apache, Nginx, Varnish, Memcached (Installation and Troubleshooting)
∎ Solid Experience with Infrastructure and Application monitoring toolslike Munin, Icinga
∎ Solid experience with frequent deployments and troubleshootings
∎ Experience with application security, preferably exposed to IT/network security
∎ Solid knowledge in managing microservices
∎ Solid knowledge in virtualization like KVM, Virtualbox, VMware
∎ Solid knowledge in container-based virtualization like Docker
∎ Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
∎ Experience with Content Management Systems
∎ Good understanding of HTTP, HTTPs, REST basics
∎ Good understanding of Java related tools like maven, ant
∎ Experience with Nodejs will be a plus
∎ Experience with version control system like git
∎ Good understanding of SSL/TLS, GnuPG/GPG
∎ ITIL Service Operations and ITIL Service Transition
∎ Experience with system and IT operations
∎ Experience with deployment management tools like Ansible, Chef, puppet
∎ Experience with website hosting will be plus
