Job Context:

∎ Contract Type: Contract with E-ZONE.
∎ Contract Start Date: 15th September, 2023
∎ Reporting to: Health Officer (eEPI), Health Section of UNICEF Bangladesh
∎ The purpose of the assignment is to support the Management Information System, Directorate General of Health Services for server and system maintenance of vaxepi.gov.bd system for immunization:
∎ To ensure the smooth operation of the HPV and routine Vaccination Apps with self and suggestive registration and to continue the support in improving immunization coverage nationwide under the HPV vaccination campaign project including support in the implementation of Routine EPI smart registration systems/ Citizen Portal.
∎ Technical assistance will be provided to MIS, DGHS in the deployment of the vaxepi.gov.bd system for citizen portal, EPI e- tracker, Data Integration and sharing, managing Share server, database, application-level authentication, and technology-based innovations to reach the vulnerable children with quality and equity of immunization services.

Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of 10 years of professional work experience as a System Administrator, preferably work experience with BCC or MIS, DGHS.
∎ Solid Experience in designing Large Scale Infrastructure
∎ Proven Experience of deployment of Large-Scale RDBMS Database Clusters like MySQL, NDB Cluster, MySQL/MariaDB Galera Cluster, PostgreSQL Cluster, Database, Synchronous/Asynchronous Replication, Backup, Restore & Recovery Systems Deployment
∎ Proven Experience in the deployment of large-scale NOSQL Clusters (like Apache, Hadoop, Apache Cassandra, ScyllaDB, Apache Solr, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, etc.)
∎ Proven Experience of Large-Scale Time Series Database Clusters (like TimeScaleDB, Prometheus, InfluxDB, OpenTSDB, etc.)
∎ Proven Experience with different types of clusters like High Availability Clusters, Load, Balanced Cluster, High-Performance Compute Clusters, Shared Filesystem Clusters, Shared Block Device Clusters
∎ Proven Experience of Private Cloud Deployment on OpenStack
∎ Proven Experience in Deploying Distributed Storage Platforms (like Ceph, GlusterFS, and OpenStack Swift)
∎ Proven Experience of Deploying Real-time system clusters
∎ Proven Experience of Deploying Container Orchestration Platforms (like Kubernetes)
∎ Proven Experience with Linux Platform Setups, Automation and Orchestration
∎ Proven Experience of handling Large Scale Enterprise Virtualization Platforms
∎ 2+ years of low-level (kernel level) development experience in Linux
∎ 10+ years of Solid Experience in deploying and managing physical and virtual server fleet.
∎ Strong design sense of designing infrastructure components by analyzing the workload.
∎ Proven Experience in managing large networks.
∎ Solid Experience in Linux Platforms (CentOS/RedHat/Ubuntu/Debian)
∎ Security Hardening Expertise compatible with Telco-grade security standard
∎ Experienced with various public (AWS, Azure, etc.) and private cloud (like VMWare, Huwaei Cloud Platform
∎ Preference would be given to candidates with working experience in the surokkha.gov.bd
∎ Working experience and familiarity with the health program of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, international organizations, or any other agencies will be an asset.
∎ Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of software development is an added advantage.
