Experience:

• 3 to 6 years

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/ Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline with no Third Division/ Class in any academic career from reputed university.

• 3 to 6 years

• Age At most 40 years

• Proven experience in software development using technologies such as .NET, Java, PHP, Python, C# or equivalent.·        
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on experience with API integration, RESTful web services, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with SDLC, agile development methodologies, and DevOps tools is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently or within a team under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in software development, system integration, fintech solutions, or IT support preferred. 
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and professional development.
• Knowledge of secure coding, data handling, and cloud platforms will be an added advantage.

Job Summary:

Bengal Commercial Bank PLC is inviting dynamic, skilled, and self-motivated individuals to join its Information Technology Division as a Programmer. The position involves designing, developing, and maintaining software systems and digital solutions aligned with the Bank’s business objectives. The selected individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, secure, and innovative applications supporting the Bank’s digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and deploy software applications, APIs, and tools as per business requirements.

• Maintain and enhance existing systems to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to define, design, and deliver new features.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade applications to ensure smooth operation and user satisfaction.

• Ensure adherence to secure coding practices, performance standards, and proper documentation.

• Participate in system design reviews, code reviews, and quality assurance processes.

• Contribute to process automation, system integration, and digital banking projects.

• Hands-on experience in deploying applications to Google Play Store and Apple App Store, ensuring compliance with respective platform guidelines.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to improve system efficiency.
