Responsibilities & Context:

A reputed tea company is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and result-oriented professional to oversee and manage tea garden operations at its Hill Plantation, Ramgarh, Fatikchhari.

Job Location: Hill Plantation, Ramghar ( Fatikchhari)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Estate Operations Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the tea garden, including cultivation, plucking, field maintenance, irrigation, drainage, and estate logistics.

  • Ensure smooth and efficient execution of all agricultural and operational activities within the tea estate.

Production Planning & Monitoring

  • Prepare daily and monthly operational plans for tea cultivation and production targets.

  • Monitor field performance, crop yield, and plucking schedules to achieve production objectives.

Plantation Development & Maintenance

  • Supervise land preparation, tea plantation development, replantation, pruning, infilling, and nursery management.

  • Ensure proper maintenance of tea bushes for sustainable growth and long-term productivity.

Manpower Supervision

  • Manage field staff, supervisors, workers, and labor teams engaged in garden operations.

  • Ensure proper deployment of manpower and maintain discipline, attendance, and productivity standards.

Pest & Disease Control

  • Monitor pest infestation, plant diseases, and soil conditions.

  • Coordinate timely application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other agricultural inputs as per technical requirements.

Resource & Cost Control

  • Ensure efficient utilization of labor, machinery, materials, and other estate resources.

  • Control operational costs and submit cost reports and budget forecasts to management.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, environmental standards, and workplace safety requirements.

  • Maintain proper health and safety measures for all field workers and staff.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports on production, manpower, expenses, and estate conditions.

  • Report directly to the Deputy Managing Director / Managing Director regarding progress, issues, and recommendations.

Infrastructure & Asset Management

  • Supervise maintenance of estate roads, irrigation systems, staff quarters, storage facilities, and operational equipment.

Strategic Development

  • Recommend improvements for yield enhancement, operational efficiency, and long-term estate development initiatives.
