A reputed tea company is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and result-oriented professional to oversee and manage the supply chain operations of its tea gardens and other sister concerns. The ideal candidate must possess strong expertise in procurement, logistics, inventory control, vendor management, and inter-company coordination to ensure efficient and uninterrupted business operations.
Responsibilities:
Procurement & Sourcing
Oversee procurement of tea garden inputs, machinery, spare parts, fertilizers, pesticides, packaging materials, office supplies, and other operational requirements.
Ensure cost-effective sourcing from reliable vendors and suppliers.
Inventory & Warehouse Management
Supervise inventory planning, stock control, and warehouse operations across tea gardens and sister concerns.
Maintain optimum stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Logistics & Distribution
Manage transportation, delivery schedules, and movement of goods, materials, and finished products between tea gardens, factories, corporate office, and sister concerns.
Ensure timely dispatch and receipt of all operational materials.
Vendor & Supplier Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, transport providers, and service vendors.
Negotiate prices, terms, delivery timelines, and service agreements.
Supply Planning & Coordination
Coordinate with tea garden managers, factory operations, HR/Admin, and sister concern management teams to forecast material requirements.
Ensure smooth supply flow to support uninterrupted operations.
Cost Control & Budgeting
Prepare procurement budgets, supply chain cost analysis, and monthly expense reports.
Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure procurement and supply chain processes comply with company policies, audit standards, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain proper purchase orders, GRN, vendor bills, and stock documentation.
Reporting & MIS
Prepare regular supply chain reports covering procurement status, stock position, vendor performance, and logistics efficiency for management review.
Risk Management
Identify supply risks, delays, shortages, and vendor issues and take proactive measures to mitigate operational disruptions.
Strategic Improvement
Recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices for strengthening the company’s supply chain system.
