Job Context:
∎ A Leading Textile Company is looking for Deputy Manager-Fashion Designing for their Organization.
∎ The Deputy Manager - Fashion Designing is responsible for leading the design team and developing new products, collections, and designs for the fashion brand.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Analyze fashion trends and anticipate designs that will appeal to consumers.
∎ Identify target markets and demographics for designs.
∎ Produce concepts; decide on a theme for a collection, create collections from inspirations, surroundings, and from the cultures experienced and places visited, or from various art media that inspire.
∎ Create preliminary sketches of designs; may also sketch ideas digitally with computer-aided design (CAD) programs.
∎ Write specifications like color schemes, construction, material types, and accessory requirements.
∎ Choose colors, fabrics, accessories, embellishment and other materials.
∎ Draw and cut out patterns.
∎ Develop products and accessories.
∎ Work with other Research & Development team members to create a prototype design.
∎ Produce samples with the actual materials that will be used in manufacturing.
∎ Test out pieces on models to see how the design will look and adjust the designs as needed.
∎ Meet with the marketing and management executives to discuss design ideas.
∎ Present design ideas to the marketing team/ department, directors & the Managing Director to showcase them in fashion or trade shows.
∎ Perform any other job responsibilities/duties as assigned by the Management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 40 years
∎ Direct work with world-class buyers will get more preference.
∎ Excellent communication skills in both English and Bengali.
∎ Presentation skills and public speaking,
∎ Creative designing,
∎ Knowledge in fine arts and printing,
∎ Knowledge of fabric in terms of construction,
∎ Design and Conceptual Skills,
∎ Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Illustrator, and
∎ Organizational skills and the ability to plan and manage time.
∎ Information sharing & transparency, Communication & collaboration.
∎ Excellent sense of style and color.
