Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for the architecture, design, development, maintenance, governance and security associated with the enterprise class data warehouse and contributor to overall data strategy
∎ Manage a complex team of developers, engineers, architects and associated vendors to deliver on open ended technical work.
∎ Strive for data quality and easy to use data models that make business sense and drive the transformation of reporting and analytics.
∎ Be accountable for all aspects of the data warehouse processes including project management, data modeling, ETL, data validation, and implementation.
∎ Document and maintain business definitions, data dictionary, and data mapping.
∎ Primary knowledge point across the board on the highly technical category work delivering solutions on technology stacks of Oracle ExaData and BDA.
∎ Driver of raising the maturity of operational efficiency, systems of customer engagement thought leadership, and ability to effectively communicate the value of emerging technologies.
∎ Be responsible for the prompt, courteous and efficient management of all support requests to the Data Warehouse team, including ad-hoc data analysis requests.
∎ Partners with Information Security on systems to ensure information system security across the enterprise; facilitates migration of non-compliant environments to compliant environments.
∎ Makes recommendations and assists in the implementation of changes to work methods and procedures to make them more effective or to strengthen business process or security measures.
∎ Develop and oversee policy and procedure for delivering and maintaining solutions in the space of data governance and data warehousing.
∎ Mentor and coach team on business analysis, solution design, development, QA, application and solution support.
∎ Works closely with key product and business leaders to define critical information needs, providing guidance regarding availability of data, capability of systems to deliver information needs, and subject matter expertise regarding current systems and emerging technology.
Additional Requirements:
∎ experience with Data Warehouse applications and lifecycle components including Source Data Analysis, ETL, ODS, Data Marts, Data Pipeline and Data Mining.
∎ Experience in Oracle RDS and/or Big-Data products
∎ Understanding of data management practices such as data integration, master data management, metadata management, data quality management, security/privacy
∎ Experience in agile-based development and information lifecycle.
∎ Proven expertise with Data Management, Data Warehousing, and Analytics on Oracle platforms, including bridging heterogenous platform such as AWS Ecosystem
∎ Deep experience with conceptual, logical and physical data modeling, Operational Data Stores, and Data Marts for extremely large relational databases and big-data systems
∎ Expertise with ETL applications like ODI, BDI, etc.
∎ Expertise in coding technologies like SQL, Shell Scripting & Python
∎ Desirable if experienced in Java, Scala based data pipelining
∎ Desirable if experienced in AWS data warehousing components
∎ Strong organizational and planning skills and process orientation.
