Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 4 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Sound knowledge and working ability on Oracle database and RAC environment.
∎ Work closely with IT project managers, development team and database programmers.
∎ Performance monitoring and reporting, performance tuning and resource optimization as required.
∎ Perform database backups and restorations, and recovers corrupted databases.
∎ Writing, testing, and executing SQL and PL/SQL scripts.
∎ Perform linux administrative tasks for database performances and creating shell scripts as needed.
∎ Create necessary automation tools/scripts for repeatitive database tasks.
∎ Ensure database service level uptime and manage database accesses.
∎ Develop processes for optimizing database security.
∎ Perform maintenance operations daily, weekly and monthly on database servers and information systems for the purpose of ensuring efficient operations.
∎ Prepare written materials for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
∎ Work as part of a team and provide 24/7 support when required.
∎ Attend seminars, conferences, in-service training and staff meetings as required and other related duties, as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Expertise on Linux environment management and administration is must.
∎ Knowledge on programming in Java and/or Python will add weight
