Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 4 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assess and develop long-term strategic goals for production database in conjunction with application owners and department managers and evaluate performance of database and implement required changes to improve performance on various OS platforms
∎ Work with application development staff to develop database architectures, policies and procedures; Always align database with best practices configuration
∎ Conduct research and make recommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
∎ Prepare schedule for purchase and make sure the budget is implemented and in line with the business plan and assist in analyzing capacity forecast for budget preparation
∎ Evaluate the impact of applications on business continuity and assist in planning, designing and implementing business continuity & Disaster Recovery (DR) solution
∎ Ensure all the incidents have been identified, acknowledged and communicated properly. After identification, proper steps taken to handle the incidents

Additional Requirements:
∎ 3-4 years of experience in DBA or DB maintenance role
∎ Thorough knowledge of database administration
∎ Thorough understanding of heterogeneous OS
∎ Thorough knowledge on telecom billing systems
∎ Thorough knowledge on data warehouse
∎ Thorough knowledge of business continuity & disaster recovery
∎ Thorough understanding of resource capacity management
∎ Thorough knowledge on project management
