Experience:
Post-Graduation from any reputed Public/ Private University or College with minimum Second Class/division in all examinations. No 3rd division/ class is allowed.
Education: Graduation in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.(Postgraduate qualification or professional certification preferred.)
Experience: 8–12+ years of experience in credit risk or credit analysis within Banks, and NBFIs including experience with high-value exposures and delegated approval authority.
Credit Expertise: Strong expertise in financial analysis, cash flow modeling, stress testing, risk rating, and SME credit underwriting.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage teams while remaining hands-on in critical credit decisions.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of loan origination and credit risk systems.
Behavioral Skills: Strong judgment, attention to detail, communication skills, stakeholder management, and ability to work under pressure.
Credit Analysis, Approval & Decision-Making
Independently conduct in-depth credit analysis and risk assessment for high-value, complex, or strategically important credit proposals.
Exercise credit approval authority within delegated limits in line with internal credit policies and risk appetite.
Review, challenge, and approve credit proposals prepared by Credit Analysts/Risk Managers, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and policy compliance.
Prepare and present credit recommendations for proposals exceeding delegated authority to senior management and Credit Committees.
Conduct client meetings and on-site pre and post visits to gather qualitative insights and validate quantitative and operational information based on delegation matrix.
Ensure appropriate escalation and documentation of policy exceptions and higher-risk transactions.
Team Leadership & Capability Development.
Lead, mentor, and supervise Credit Analysts/Risk Managers to enhance analytical rigor and decision quality.
Allocate workload, manage turnaround times, and ensure adherence to service-level standards.
Support performance evaluations, coaching, and skill development initiatives.
Portfolio Risk Management & Monitoring
Oversee portfolio performance, covenant compliance, concentration risks, and early warning indicators.
Review and guide action plans for deteriorating or high-risk accounts.
Ensure timely identification and escalation of emerging credit risks and potential stress scenarios.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Partner with Business, Risk, Legal, and Operations teams to structure credit facilities that balance risk and return.
Present credit proposals, portfolio insights, and risk matters to senior management and governance forums.
Governance, Reporting & Process Improvement
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal credit policies, and delegated authority frameworks.
Review and approve credit MIS, portfolio reports, and risk dashboards.
Drive continuous improvements in credit processes, tools, templates, and risk governance practices.
