Job Responsibilities:
∎ Specific Objectives:
∎ 1. To document the best practices and draw learning from various projects IRC has implemented to date both in refugee camps and host community in Cox Bazar, and also develop an Annual report for Bangladesh Country Program. This should further help us to:
∎ a. Better understand what "we should do more of" and "what we should do less of" in future programme
∎ b. Improve the quality of programme design and project proposals to raise donor funding
∎ c. Encourage IRC staff and partners to embrace learning as well as improve staff and partners' capacity development initiatives in future
∎ 2. To capture and document case stories evolved at the ground level with relevant photographs showcasing lessons learned, positive changes and impacts (or trends) brought out by the country programme.
∎ 3. To develop a document for external dissemination capturing good practices, learning, case stories, photographs

∎ Scope of work
∎ IRC's programme focus: Women Protection (GBV response and Prevention), Child Protection, Protection Rule of Law, Primary Health Care, Sexual and Reproductive Health Care, Education , Emergency Planning and Response (EPR)
∎ IRC's programme footprints: 27 Rohingya Refugee Camps and four sub districts (Ukhia, Teknaf, Ramu and Chakaria) in Cox's Bazar
∎ COVID-19 adaptive programme delivery since March 2020
∎ IRC's hybrid implementation model - Direct as well as through partners
∎ Capture positive changes reflected in the lives of children and adolescent through our child protection programming in Safe Healing and Learning Space (SHLS); case management including case transfer and referral, Community Based Child Protection and awareness initiatives.
∎ Capture positive changes as a result of WPE's initiatives (Case Management, prevention initiatives, Life Skills Training, Disable inclusive intervention) at individual and community level.
∎ Capture the positive changes as a result of protection monitoring and legal counseling and referral service.
∎ Capture positive changes as a result of various interventions related to primary health care services, including satisfactions of our beneficiaries related to access and quality
∎ Capture the factors associated with our beneficiaries taking decisions as a result of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services
∎ Capture the positive changes as a result of emergency health referral support
∎ Positive changes as a result of our autonomous learning programme (education) on both children as well as caregivers
∎ Capture positive changes (expected and unexpected) through engagement of community volunteers' (Rohingya and Bangladeshi female and male).
∎ Explore evidences of good practices and learning associated with
∎ Integrated GBV and SRH service delivery
∎ Level of influence on our beneficiaries (individual, family and community) as a result of Behavioral Change Communication across all programme sectors
∎ Level of influence on external coordination bodies such as Health sector, SRH sub sector, Protection sector, Child protection sub sector, GBV sub sector, GBV case management task force and education sector
∎ Level of influence for sectoral coordination including contribution in GBVIMS Camp level coordination on both programme aspects and access issues
∎ Accountability towards beneficiaries and Government counterparts
∎ Cross function collaboration within IRC team
∎ Staff duty of care
∎ Case stories: Minimum five for each of the IRC's programme sectors

∎ 2. Final draft products - a success story book, best practice notes at least 3 per sector and the Annual report- Two and Half month- 30th October
∎ 3. Ready to print and professionally designed final products after addressing minimum two round of feedback - Three Weeks- 15 November
∎ a. High quality document for internal consumption fulfilling specific objective (1 & 2)
∎ b. High quality document for external dissemination fulfilling specific objective 3
∎ c. High quality annual report of IRC Bangladesh fulfilling objective 4
Additional Requirements:
∎ Advanced university degree in Communications, Journalism, Creative writing, Public relations, Social sciences or related field
∎ At least 5 years of relevant professional experience with experience in
∎ Familiarity with Cox's Bazar humanitarian/emergency response programme
∎ Experience in results/outcome harvesting and producing good quality products
∎ Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate and work with diverse people
∎ Strong research and excellent writing skills in English and Bangla
∎ Consultant will be expected to work with IRC full time for the full assignment period (3.5 months)
∎ Flexible duty station (IRC office in Dhaka, Cox, Ukhia, work from home)
∎ Travel, accommodation & per diem of consultant while visiting Cox Bazar in relation to this assignment will be directly arranged/covered by IRC (accommodation in IRC's GH)
∎ Consultant will be expected to arrange his / her laptop, camera and other accessories
