Job Context:
The Construction Supervisor provides invaluable support to FH Program grants activities by leading the construction of houses, toilets, tube wells, deep tube wells, submersible pumps, handwashing stations, wash blocks, etc., by providing the design and estimated budget, preparing work schedules, implementing and monitoring construction work, and ensuring compliance with building and safety regulations.
Principal Responsibilities:
Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion;
Review the construction project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations;
Ensure compliance with all related FH Policies and standards, including the Conflict of Interest Policy and No-Gift Policy, throughout all processes of implementation;
Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors;
Design, select tools, materials, and equipment, and track inventory;
Review the work progress on a daily basis.
Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks;
Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques;
Ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget by setting benchmarks and monitoring progress.
Attend, participate, and contribute in meetings, workshops, networking events; and
Other Duties as assigned.
