Principal Responsibilities

Key Result Area-1: Strategic Alignment, Program Management, and Program Quality

  • Lead the development and execution of the Country Program Strategy and Operating Plan, ensuring alignment with global direction and strategic priorities, and effective implementation of the program model.

  • Provide leadership and foster collaboration with the Senior Manager - Program Operations, Technical Managers/Specialists, Value Exchange Relationship Manager, and Digital and Technology Support Manager.

  • Monitor progress against targets, timelines, and budget, and work with the program team to address implementation gaps to achieve transformational impact in the communities. 

  • Develop and manage country program budget, and approve expenditures in line with the assigned level of authority, and ensure appropriate standards of stewardship, accountability, and compliance to FHB financial policies and procedures in implementing programs.

  • Support regular and systematic rhythm of program monitoring and evaluation, learning, and adaptation to ensure evidence-based decision-making in planning, re/design, and implementation.

  • Coordinate with the M&E unit for Program Management Information System.

  • Work closely with the Mission Impact team, with support from the Asia Sponsorship Portfolio Program Manager, for understanding and execution of Program Quality Standards and best practices, and work with relevant GSC unit/s as per need.

  • Provide leadership in the execution of Sponsorship of the Future (SOfT) processes and create platforms for learning and continuous improvement, resulting in transformed relationships and mutual benefits for shareholders and investors.

  • Lead or contribute to the execution of systems practice and solutions design, including development of the roadmap, capacity building of key staff, and implementation timelines at the Area Program level.

  • Approve the Annual Operating Plan and Budget Plan, ensuring alignment with the Country Strategic Plan.

  • Lead the development of emergency preparedness and response and be the point of contact for emergency responses. 

Key Result Area-2: Networking and Resource Development

  • Coordinate and oversee field visits for partners, donors, and visitors to deepen their understanding and appreciation of FH’s work.

  • Network with INGOs, national NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders to promote learning, share best practices, and explore potential partnerships.

  • Keep abreast and report appropriately of conducive/challenging environmental, economic, social, political and religious conditions affecting FH’s work, providing insights to leadership.

  • Guide the Manager - Business Development in developing and executing a resource mobilization strategy with a long-term growth plan and resource plan (i.e., sponsorship, non-sponsorship private funds, grants, etc.).

  • Collaborate with Global Service Center Public Resource Development unit to identify and pursue funding opportunities aligned with the country strategy.

  • Support the development of concept notes, project proposals, project/program designs, and budgets in collaboration with relevant GSC units and internal/external stakeholders.

Key Result Area-3: Program Compliance and Approvals

  • Ensure program compliance with all NGOAB reporting requirements.

  • Guide the Sr. Manager – Program Operations and program team in monitoring program MIS reports to ensure programs are achieving both FH global requirements and FD-6 or FD-7 requirements.

  • Support and coordinate with the Sr. Manager - MERL to complete reports for donors, government entities, and all other stakeholders as required. 

  • Ensure, with support from MERL and Finance, that all reports, responses to queries, and communications with NGOAB are submitted in a timely manner.

  • Keep the SLT up to date on the status of all FD-6 or FD-7 compliance and alert the SLT on a timely basis on any challenges in the area for a joint decision of the SLT.

Key Result Area-4: Personal Growth and Team Development

  • Develop and empower technical program staff, the Partnerships and Development team, and the Sponsorship team to perform effectively and continuously strengthen their skills and capabilities.

  • Conduct regular meetings with direct reports to review development plans and individual goals.

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and timely completion of staff performance evaluations.

  • Partner with HR team to develop and lead the training process on program manuals, policies, procedures, and tools.

  • Pursue ongoing training, professional and personal development for both self and team members through seminars, conferences, and online learning opportunities, and;

  • Ensure adherence to all FH policies and procedures in the Program Department.

  • Support recruitment, staffing, new staff orientation, training and development, performance evaluation, and staff well-being initiatives.

Key Result Area-5: Safeguarding

  • Communicate with appropriate individuals to enhance and promote Safeguarding integration into program design and program operations, while ensuring the incorporation of clear Design Monitoring and Evaluation (DME) outcomes and measures.

  • Ensure adequate capacity building for team members and partners on safeguarding, providing additional support and resources, including risk mitigation, as needed.

Key Result Area-6: Organizational Culture

  • Champion FH culture, mindsets, and behaviors in all interactions, serving as a role model for others.

  • Lead and contribute to developing and modeling accountability and servant leadership.

  • Contribute to the implementation of FH ReIMAGINE and support teams in cascading key initiatives to frontline staff.

  • Lead the integration of faith-based principles into Value Exchange processes, fostering a holistic approach to development.

  • Engage in the Community of Practice (CoP) or working groups for different initiatives as per invitation and use these platforms to share and draw learning to/from other countries.
