Responsibilities & Context:

Context of the Job :

The position holder is responsible for completing Project work within the schedule time as per targets set project need. Prepare technical proposals and method statements as per task requirements. Co-ordination with the other Department that is involved in the Project Set meeting. Ensure supervision & Project progress as per work schedule.

To oversee the planning, design, and implementation of construction projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, adherence to safety and safeguarding standards, and delivery of high-quality infrastructure within budget and timelines.

Job Responsibilities :

Need Assessment:

• Conduct thorough site assessments and surveys to gather essential data for construction planning and design.

• Identify potential challenges or risks related to construction sites and propose mitigation measures.

Construction Planning and Design:

• Collaborate with project coordinator, procurement team and stakeholders to develop construction plans, vendor selection for infrastructure of the project.

• Ensure that construction plans align with Government regulations, project specifications, organizational policies and donor compliance.

Technical Drawing and Documentation:

• Develop detailed technical drawings, blueprints and specifications for construction projects.

• Create and maintain accurate documentation related to construction plans, materials, and project progress.

Budgeting and Cost Estimation:

·       Prepare accurate budgets and cost estimates for construction.

• Monitor and control construction costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.

Quality Control and Assurance:

• Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that construction meet required standards and specifications.

• Conduct regular inspections and tests to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.

Construction Management:

• Manage and supervise construction teams, contractors and subcontractors.

• Coordinate with different stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

Timeline Management:

• Develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring that timelines are met.

• Identify and address any delays or obstacles that may affect the project timeline.

Reporting:

• Prepare regular progress reports on construction activities, including updates on milestones, challenges and solutions.

• Collaborate with project coordinator to provide input for donor reporting requirements.

Policy Compliance & Safeguarding:

• Enforce and promote safety & Safeguarding protocols and compliance with relevant construction safety regulations.

• Conduct regular safety briefings and inspections to minimize risks on construction sites.

• Advocate for the integration & upholding Core humanitarian Standard (CHS) among team & stakeholders.

• Raise awareness among team & stakeholders about the importance of policy compliance of organization, government & donor and safeguarding in the context of the Rohingya response.

• Safeguarding and PSEA: To meet the program's objectives for safeguarding and PSEA implementation, make sure team members are protected from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation. serve as a major resource for help, direction, and knowledge on safeguarding & Child protection for developing a safe workplace. To ensure that safeguarding standards are used in every course of action, team members should practice, advocate, and embrace safeguarding policy concerns.
