A community mobilizer should have strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse community members. They must also possess basic knowledge of environmental protection and drug abuse issues to raise awareness and facilitate behavior change at the grassroots level.

A. Summary of Project
RDRS Bangladesh has been implementing an emergency response program titled “RDRS Emergency Response Program (RERP)” in Rohingya camps and nearby host communities in Cox’s Bazar district since 2019. The RERP contributes to international efforts to meet the humanitarian and protection needs and increase self-reliance and resilience of the Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMNs) and host communities through Income Generating Activities (IGAs), tree plantation, life skills with livelihoods, and leadership development training. RERP also works on capacity building of youth and creates market linkage to improve their living standard. This program also aims at cultivating social cohesion, ensuring social inclusion, promoting reforestation, and providing humanitarian support (i.e., food and non-food items, WASH, health, protection, etc.) to the FDMNs as well as the nearby host communities.
B. Summary of Position
As a field-level operational person, who will perform program implementation through supervision. S/he will carry out the following responsibility under the direct responsibility of the community mobilizer.
C. Description of Responsibilities
Major responsibilities of this position are as follows:
Assist in selection of areas as well as project participants;
Plan and implementing field activities at community level to achieve project objectives;
Group formation and facilitation of regular group meeting;
Facilitate and support community-based organizations (CBO)/community organizations to develop and execute their annual plan and coordination with service-providing agencies for building linkage;
Local-level networking, influencing with development stakeholders among from GO, NGO, and private sector, including local government and different standing committees;
Women and youth entrepreneurship development and market system development for the poor.
Strengthen resilience and adaptation capacities to address difficulties for climate change and disaster;
Support social development intervention in the community and issue-based meeting for building awareness at he local-level institution;
Provide training on value chain development, capacity building of CBO/community groups and business plans for enterprise;
Data collection and case story documentation
