Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the similar position as well as similar type of project with NGOs .

• IT skill will be treated as added value.

• Skilled in motorcycle driving with valid driving license will give priority.

Additional Job Requirements

• Excellent facilitation / coaching skill to conduct orientation, courtyard meeting, training etc.

• Proven writing and oral communication skills in English and Bengali.

• Excellent leadership capacity to maintain excellent team building and conflict response management.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.

• Pro-active, self-starter and result oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrate an ability to remain calm, and composed during time of stress and inspiring the same in the team.

Job Context: Nazrul Smriti Sangsad (NSS) is a non-governmental humanitarian organization that has been working since 2000 for the advancement of poor men, women, children, youth, excluded communities, and persons with disabilities. NSS is a non-profit, non-political, child- and gender-sensitive organization.

NSS is going to implement a project titled “Protocols and Trigger-based Institutional Systems for Timely Humanitarian Anticipatory Actions PROTISTHAA funded by ECHO and implemented in partnership with Action Against Hunger (ACF). The position is responsible for ensuring timely, quality, and effective delivery of project interventions focused on anticipatory humanitarian actions in climate-vulnerable coastal Barguna, Patuakhali and Bhola districts with a duration from May, 2026 to March 2028. The organization invites applications for the position of Community Facilitator this project.

The position will support community-level implementation of anticipatory action, early warning dissemination, and trigger-based preparedness activities in coordination with local government institutions and stakeholders.

NSS is seeking a competent Community Facilitator to implement the project activities at field level The position is based at union level and s/he has to maintain close coordination with UP ,community peopele and and other stakeholder. .

Job Location: Pathorgat upazila of Barguna,Kalapara upazial of Patuakhali upazila and Charfasion upazila of Bhola district .

Major Job Responsibilities

• Organize and facilitate community meetings, training sessions, awareness campaigns, and simulation exercises on disaster preparedness and anticipatory action.

• Support implementation of project activities at the community, Union and Upazila level in the project areas.

• Facilitate dissemination of early warning messages and advisories to targeted communities in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

• Strengthen community-level disaster preparedness systems, including community groups, volunteers, and local committees.

• Support community-level activities

• Maintain close coordination with Union Parishad, Upazila administration, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Support community-level contingency planning, risk mapping, risk assessment, and resource mapping exercises and resource mobilization.

• Assist in organizing mock drills and preparedness exercises.

• Provide support for training, meetings, and field-level data collection activities.

• Collect case studies, lessons learned, and community feedback from the field.

• Support use of monitoring tools and ensure quality data collection.

• Contribute to preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

• Mobilize communities to participate in resilience-building, livelihood, and advocacy activities linked to the project.

• Support identification of vulnerable households and community needs for anticipatory action interventions.

• Promote awareness on climate risks, disaster preparedness, hygiene practices, and resilient livelihoods.

• Ensure inclusion of women, youth, elderly, and PWD (Persons with Disabilities) in all activities.

• Support documentation, compilation, and reporting of community-level information.

Other Roles and Responsibilities:

• Participate in the project direct beneficiary selection process to ensure transparency and accountability for FbF and other activities.

• Abide by the organizational policies.

• Maintain and fulfil properly movement register for field visit

• Fulfil and maintain leave form properly.

• Preparation for conducting additional responsibility for the requirement of the organization.

Salary: TK 30,818 per month with other admissible benefits according to the project budget.
