Job Summary
The Interactive Theatre Associate leads participatory theatre activities to promote peacebuilding and social cohesion between Rohingya and host communities. The role involves forming youth theatre groups, developing scripts on key social issues, and organizing performances followed by community dialogues to encourage reflection and positive change. The associate coordinates with project teams and local authorities to ensure smooth implementation, manages logistics and equipment, and supports budget tracking. Additionally, the role ensures proper documentation, reporting, and learning capture, contributing to effective programme delivery and community engagement in a humanitarian context.
Key responsibilities include (not limited to):
Leading Interactive Theatre activities:
Taking lead to ensure effective theatre performance through theatre group formation, development of
stories/script and organizing rehearsals and organized shows in the five camps.
Support project team to arrange events in the community.
Assist project team to find out in an effective delivery method of theatre.
Assist in monitoring the budget support so the expenditure stays within budgetary guidelines as per the event plan.
Ensure equipment is used in a safe manner.
Inventories and requisitions supply and equipment; recommends the purchase of new equipment.
Facilitate community theatre performances followed by interactive discussions/dialogues.
Encourage audience participation and reflection on key messages.
Reports to the line manager on a regular basis to give an update on artistic activity and the impact of interactive theatre in camp.
Reporting, documentation and coordination:
Ensure training plan and session modules
Develop scripts and performance materials
Ensure programme reporting, documentation, photos and key learnings.
Responsible for maintaining good communication with CiCs and assisting team while getting approval for conduction of theatre activities.
Any assigned task by the line manager.
Salary and benefits: Monthly Gross Salary BDT. 50,281 with other admissible benefits such as mobile & internet allowance, medical benefit, group life insurance etc
