  • Computer skills with (Microsoft Office (MS Word), Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Experience in conducting baseline, mid-term and end line evaluation

  • Previous experience in conducting research

  • Expert in the field report, documentation in English

  • Must have experience in rights based, advocacy and campaign related project implementation

Responsibilities & Context:

Uttaran is a national development organization working in the coastal region of Bangladesh since 1985 to uphold rights and entitlements and to improve the socio-economic condition of the poor and disadvantaged. Uttaran facilitates in getting access to and control over resources by the poor and disadvantaged to improve agricultural productivity and economic empowerment.

Contrctual. (Fixed term contract)

Project Background:

Uttaran with the assistance of Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation is implementing Nari Shakti Samaz Shakti (NSSS) project. The objective of the project is to establish a gender-transformative enabling environment that empowers women and marginalized groups to foster safer, inclusive, and resilient communities in the vulnerable contexts of Cox’s Bazar. The project focuses on protecting women and girls aged 10–35 in both host and refugee communities by enhancing resilience, reducing disaster vulnerabilities and creating alternative livelihood opportunities.

Job responsibility:

  • Collect, validate and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from field activities.

  • Maintain an up-to-date database of project indicators and prepare regular progress reports as per donor and organizational requirements.

  • Lead the team with planning and execution of baseline, midline, endline, PDM survey, evaluations and impact studies and report preparation.

  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor implementation progress, verify data quality and provide feedback for improvement.

  • Facilitate participatory community monitoring and feedback mechanisms to ensure accountability and responsiveness.

  • Ensure documentation of best practices, lessons learned, and case studies to support knowledge sharing and learning.

  • Support capacity building of project staff and partner stakeholders in MEAL concepts, tools, and practices.

  • Ensure alignment with gender equality, inclusion, and safeguarding principles in all MEAL activities.

  • Collaborate closely with program, communications, and finance teams to ensure data-informed decision-making and compliance.

  • Provide support at the community level for organizing events, workshop, meeting and training when required.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Assist project coordinator to prepare different reports and documentation.

Additional responsibilities

  • Ensure the safeguarding of project staff through training and adherence to policies

  • Stay informed of safeguarding legislation and guidelines and share information as per policy

  • Attend external and internal safeguarding orientation, training and maintain accurate records

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of safeguarding systems and best practices

Admin Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Abide by the staff’s management policy and accounts management policy of the organization.

  • Submission of weekly/monthly activity plan and report.

  • Maintain and fulfil properly movement register for field visit

  • Fulfil and maintain leave form properly

  • Maintain tour forms properly and submission after tour with the voucher

  • Preservation of organizational files and resources

  • Preparation for conducting additional responsibility for the requirement of the organization

  • Avoid conspiracy, indecent words, and negative views to higher authority and finally show the faith to the organization

  • Consolidated and unite for the organization
