Job Context:
∎ CONTRACT DURATION: 30 September, 2023

∎ WORK LOCATION: Teknaf
∎ CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed Term.
∎ Under overall guidance and supervision of Project Assistant Officer, s/he will responsible for the implementation of “Food Security and Livelihoods component of the Z Event Project in Cox’s Bazar District” at community/ward/union level and will provide all required support to Livelihood beneficiaries and Model Mothers for smooth and timely implementation of the project activities.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implementation of FSL activities including homestead-based food production and Enhanced climate-adaptive livelihood opportunities.
∎ Ensure the implementation of activities as per monthly work-plan and defined by the Assistant Program Officer.
∎ Support to identify livelihood beneficiaries and potential model mothers in targeted area at union level.
∎ Arrange different training for the targeted beneficiaries at community level.
∎ Ensure the presence of beneficiaries during the distribution(cash/input).
∎ Regular follow up of IGA/Livelihood/agricultural/model mother activities and provide technical support with the consultation of APO.
∎ Connecting the beneficiaries with local info-hubs or Union Digital Centers (UDC) for accessing the livelihood related information.
∎ Assist APO/SPO for the establishment and functioning of Self Help Group.
∎ Ensure effective dissemination of information to the beneficiary level when required.
∎ Ensure smooth operation of Complaint & Feedback Mechanism for the beneficiary and community people.
∎ Beneficiary mobilization and capacity building.
∎ Organizing beneficiaries in small groups
∎ Facilitate household layout development process for homestead based food production
∎ Facilitate household asset analysis process for selecting suitable livelihoods options
∎ Facilitate and ensure IGA business plan development by the livelihoods beneficiaries
∎ Arrange beneficiary training
∎ Provide training on homestead gardening, back yard poultry, cattle farming and resilient livelihoods to the beneficiaries.
∎ Promote and set up trial climate adaptive food production technologies.
∎ Support for establishing linkage with frontline service providers, monitoring and sustainability.
∎ Coordination with frontline local service providers and relevant stakeholders at community level
∎ Ensure regular follow up of Income Generating Activities for the beneficiaries
∎ Establish linkages between the beneficiaries and livelihood service providers
∎ Assist APO for establishing self-help group
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 64 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Willingness to stay at ward/union level of working union.
∎ Minimum 1 years proven professional experience in the relevant fields of Food Security & Livelihood (FSL) and Communication and other projects will be an added-value.
∎ Experience of working in Teknaf under Cox’s Bazar district will be an additional value.
∎ Ability for planning of activities.
∎ Good knowledge on agricultural technologies, rural livelihoods and IGA related activities at rural level;
∎ Have knowledge on PRA tools (FGD, KII, etc.)
∎ Good human relationship and rapport building ability;

Salary: Tk. 24234 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: 02 basic salary per year.
∎ Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary.
∎ Gratuity: As per organization policy.
