Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

Shishu Polli Plus (a project of The Sreepur Village, Bangladesh) is a humanitarian organization which is located in Sreepur of Gazipur District. We provide support of shelter, education, rehabilitation & livelihood training to the destitute mothers and children which help them to re-settle in their community with better financial and interpersonal skills. We are looking for qualified candidates for the position of Community Development Officer as per followings:

Job Responsibilities:

Community House & Community Base Support:

  • Maintain Register (All activity of Community House).

  • Organize monthly meeting and prepare meeting minutes (Community House).

  • Evaluate services of community house and Prepare different reports.

  • According to plan place mother and children in Community House and CBS

  • Community placement and School admission follow-up.

  • Encourage mother and children in Community House for agriculture gardening.

  • Monitor and Follow up cleanliness of Community House beneficiaries.

  • Follow up schooling and evening studies of children in Community House.

  • Encourage mother and child to maintain Community House discipline.

  • Ensure all Community House beneficiaries performing assigned duties properly.

  • Monitor attendance and uniforms of beneficiary mother and children (School).

  • Solve problem and issues of mother and children of Community House.

  • Ensure allowance of beneficiaries at Community House Beneficiaries.

Long Term Beneficiaries:

  • Support in organizing Day observations and Follow up Long Term Beneficiaries.

  • Prepare different document & report.

  • Support in arranging marriage of Long Term beneficiaries.

  • Ensure government documentation covering birth certificates, national IDs, voter registration, and other essential records.

  • Provide support in creating income opportunities and job placement.

  • Arrange emergency support if serious issues arise.

Accommodation Management:

  • Ensure all guest rooms and common areas are clean, tidy, and well-maintained.

  • Regularly inspect rooms, furniture, and facilities for maintenance or repair needs.

  • Maintain an inventory of furniture, bedding, and equipment.

  • Support in security arrangements.

  • Follow-up/ensure maintenance of utility facility systems function properly.

Job placement of Beneficiaries:

  • Build relationships with Various Employers for job and internship opportunities.

  • Help prepare or update CVs and job applications.

  • Refer qualified candidates to employers and follow up on interview results.

  • Maintain regular communication with beneficiaries and employers.

Banking activities for Beneficiaries:

  • Bank Accounts opening for beneficiaries.

  • Make Bill & Budget for Community House & Community base Support Beneficiaries.

  • Monthly Allowance payment for beneficiaries of Community House.

  • Maintain Financial Support of Community House & Community base Support.

Regular Follow Up of Released Beneficiaries:

  • Keep regular contact with released beneficiaries through phone calls.

  • Follow up mother and children who stay in local community.

  • Follow-up living conditions, schooling of children, employment status and provide advice.

Documentation and Office Management:

  • Support in maintaining all project-related files (beneficiary profiles, reports, meeting notes, attendance sheets, financial records, etc.).

  • Maintain copies of all official letters, memos, emails, and meeting minutes & Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on time.

  • Update BIMS Software and CAF files. Assist prepare yearly, half yearly budget and reports.

Need base Activities:

  • Maintain Purchase requisition; Requisition for Store and Stock register.

  • All other Need based activity Department of Rehab.
