Job Context:
∎ The Communications Officer will lead Truvalu`s efforts to grow its business by originating new development sector projects/programmes, investments, and advisory deals. S/he will also lead the efforts to increase the visibility of Truvalu`s brand and its offerings in development projects/programmes, investments, business development services (BDS), blended finance, and advisory services. The position requires a thorough understanding of development sector projects/programmes, private equity, venture capital, impact investment industry, and deep relationship development skills as well as the ability to develop and drive new deal origination initiatives.
∎ JOB LOCATION: Based in Dhaka, however, frequent travel outside of Dhaka may be required.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Branding & Communications:
∎ Increase the visibility of Truvalu and its services and offerings through independent and co-created content development, campaigns, and ensuring distribution to key stakeholders.
∎ Serve as a storyteller and formulate all contents to ensure quality, clarity, consistency, and alignment with Truvalu's mission and vision.
∎ Conceptualize and produce content such as articles, case studies, factsheets, research briefs, and digital content for internal and external use; manage materials and information resources such as presentations for external stakeholders.
∎ Establish and maintain strategic relationships with peers, and internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Support investment and advisory team members with writing, and editorial support and establish linkage with other support units.
∎ Establish and support the company's external and internal communication needs as required.
∎ Actively participate in different forums and facilitate cross-functional collaboration and learning.
∎ Contribute to the management of the company's website and social media.
∎ Deliver project-specific communications needs, including printed materials (flyers, brochures, learning publications), representation of project achievements, and stories on social media channels, websites, and other communication-related products.
∎ Plan, manage and execute the production of written and visual packages and multimedia content for Truvalu's various projects and offerings.
∎ Innovate and bring new ideas and platforms to enhance team collaboration, internal communication and information exchange, and peer-to-peer learning.
∎ Projects/Programmes, Investments, and Advisory Deal Origination:
∎ Represent and extend Truvalu's brand externally to ensure the company is top of mind for investment deal opportunities and the company is perceived as a leader in the impact investment ecosystem in Bangladesh.
∎ Originate potential investment and advisory service opportunities and act as a liaison between Truvalu's investment team and potential investee companies.
∎ Build and manage effective relationships with SMEs to find new investment opportunities and develop a strong investee pipeline.
∎ Effectively communicate the differentiation and unique approach of Truvalu's value creation strategy.
∎ Perform market research and analysis by gathering, analyzing, and disseminating critical data/information on macroeconomics, national development agenda, investing environment, etc.
∎ Identify new investment strategies in various sectors.
∎ Prepare and present case studies based on industry attractiveness.
∎ Create unique events to build awareness of and preference for Truvalu as an investor.
∎ Support the senior management in building key stakeholder relationships and expanding the company's presence in Bangladesh.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2-3 years of progressive and relevant work experience.
∎ Thorough understanding of development sector projects/programmes, private equity/ venture capital/ impact investment/ blended finance/ business development services (BDS).
∎ Excellent relationship-building, project management, and event management skills.
∎ Excellent social media, public speaking, creative writing, blogging, editorial writing, reporting, and visual storytelling skills.
∎ Indefatigable/persistent, proactive, self-motivated with the ability to work under limited supervision.
∎ Excellent interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal), and presentation skills.
∎ Fluency in Bengali and English is a must.
∎ Have strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
∎ Ability to learn quickly and have the ability to grasp financial / business terminology and concepts.
∎ Excellent computer literacy in Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
