Job Context:

∎ With the supervision by Program Manager-Communication with Community, the "Communication with Community Officer" will be responsible for smooth operations of Action Against Hunger`s Information Hubs in Cox`s base. S/he will ensure high quality of program implementation in designated information centre. Close guidance and support will be provided by the Program Manager.
∎ This is a field level executive position in Action Against Hunger`s Cox`s Bazar base office and the incumbent will be expected to take responsibilities for leadership and management issues of communications to the wider senior team and externally.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Operational: To ensure smooth and proper running of different components of Communication with Communities (CwC) program.
∎ Provide high quality of services at information centre.
∎ Greet, meet beneficiaries and explain the services they can avail in the information centre.
∎ Efficiently address and provide quick solutions to trouble-shoot and questions.
∎ Tag beneficiaries to specific discussion groups, upon their information requests.
∎ Organise regular group discussions in the information centres and facilitate discussions with different groups of beneficiaries.
∎ Organise outreach activities, when required, to ensure that information centres become a known and trustable point for information and feedback in the community.
∎ Ensure smooth operations of all information centres and full function of all components in the information centre.
∎ Identify opportunities to ensure engagement of population groups who are less accessible (eg. women, elderly groups).
∎ Refer beneficiaries to services of Action Against Hunger and other services by different agencies, as per need.
∎ Support high quality reporting, monitoring and documentation.
∎ Ensure proper record keeping, data entry into system.
∎ Follow up and cross check referral cases with communities, service facilities of Action Against Hunger.
∎ Ensure feedback mechanisms are fully functional in information centres.
∎ Take pro-active steps to address community feedback received with support from Action Against Hunger management.
∎ Promote two way and interactive communications in all information centres to create an enabling environment.
∎ Supervise the quality of services in the Information Centres.
∎ Ensure that hygiene and sanitation rules are respected in the information centres.
∎ Ensure of the adequate water supply in the information centres.
∎ Ensure that hand washing facilities/points are available and functioning well.
∎ Ensure crowd management, when needed, to deliver high quality of services.
∎ Ensure beneficiaries are welcomed and provided information services with respect.
∎ Communication and coordination
∎ Communicate and coordinate with other Action Against Hunger programs: Nutrition, Mental Health, WaSH and Food Security & Disaster Risk Reduction.
∎ Keep collaboration and coordination with other stakeholders who are also responding to the refugee crisis.
∎ Closely monitor the quality of services in the information centres and outreach activities.
∎ Support Senior Project Officer and CwC Manager during external visits (donors or partners) to information centres.
∎ Attend trainings and workshops, as per need.

Salary: Tk. 55000 (Monthly)
