Experience:
Strong knowledge and experience in handling LC, LCA, and TT transactions.
Understanding of import regulations, customs procedures, and documentation.
Understanding of international shipping and customs regulations.
Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis, etc.).
Strong communication skills in both written and spoken in English.
Familiarity with banking processes is a strong advantage.
LC/LCA/TT Opening
Coordinate the opening of Letters of Credit (LC), Letters of Credit Amendments (LCA), and Telegraphic Transfers (TT) with banks in accordance with import payment terms and company policies.
Import Process and Documentation Management
Oversee the entire import process, coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and compliance with import regulations.
Prepare, review, and manage all import documentation, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and import licenses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
Supplier Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including communicating import requirements, negotiating terms, and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.
File Maintenance & Import Register Management
Establish and manage comprehensive import files for all shipments, ensuring documents are well-organized and adhere to company and regulatory standards.
Maintain an up-to-date import register to track all import transactions, including shipment details, customs declarations, and duty payments.
Follow-Up, Communication, & Customs Compliance
Actively communicate with suppliers to track import orders, resolve issues or delays, and ensure smooth operations. Adhere strictly to customs regulations, managing tariff classifications, duty payments, and interactions with customs authorities.
Maintain accurate, accessible records of import activities for audit readiness and complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
