∎ Only short listed candidates will be called for interview.
∎ To administer the Finance and Accounts Department.
∎ Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
∎ Ensure compliance with appropriate Accounting Principles adopted in Bangladesh.
∎ To initiate Memo for Meetings of Board, Executive Committee and Audit Committee relating to Finance and Accounts Department.
∎ To present the realistic Yearly Budget of the Company.
∎ To prepare materials of Accounts related information for Annual Report.
∎ To ensure proper deductions regarding source tax and VAT from bills before payment to parties.
∎ Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial reporting.
∎ To supervise and ensure proper record keeping & reporting, smooth functioning of Accounts & Finance Department and legal and regulatory compliance regarding all finance.
∎ Monitor statutory and special audits.
∎ Ensure payment of advance tax timely and proper & timely filing of tax returns.
∎ To ensure the most profitable use of Company's fund through proper and effective investment (FDRs, shares and bonds etc).
∎ Maintain banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
∎ Ensure establishment and maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial policies and procedures.
∎ To evolve most economic system of managing the Company in an efficient and economic manner.
∎ To maintain all the rules and regulations of the Company & Rules and Regulations of IDRA and ensure financial payments timely.
∎ To ensure departmental cooperation and functioning.
∎ To ensure maintenance of proper books of accounts and timely submission of financial, administrative and other information to the IDRA & other regulatory authorities.
∎ To ensure that Company's accounts, financial matters etc are regularly and periodically audited by the internal and external auditors.
∎ To manage efficiently and effectively the Company's fund and take appropriate steps to prohibit, minimize & probable misuse of fund.
∎ To synchronize management reporting system and to bring harmonization of intradepartmental functions.
∎ To ensure that the Company is maintaining required Solvency Margin Ratio as per the Insurance Act.
∎ To assist the Company Secretary as and when required.
∎ Liaison with the legal advisor to obtain legal guidance relating to finance for the company.
∎ Any other jobs assigned by the Board, CEO from time to time in the greatest interest of the Company.
∎ Minimum 5 years' of practical working experience in a renowned non-life Insurance Companies in the following area(s):
∎ Preparation of Financial Statements;
∎ Finance, Audit, VAT & TAX;
∎ Insurance Act-2010, Income Tax Ordinance-1984;
∎ Other a related Insurance laws in Bangladesh;
∎ Rules & circulars of IDRA.
