Responsibilities & Context:

GMS, a state of art and a leading national export trophy winner and one of the largest knit garments manufacturing company in Bangladesh is going to recruit "Chef" for Factory Unit, located in Shardaganj, Kashimpur, Gazipur.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and cook daily meals/dishes according to approved recipes and company standards.

  • Prepare special meals/dishes for management, foreign buyers, visitors, training programs, and special occasions as required.

  • Introduce new menu items and seasonal dishes to enhance dining satisfaction.

  • Supervise all kitchen staff, cooks, helpers, and food service personnel.

  • Ensure smooth operation of kitchen activities and timely meal service.

  • Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.

  • Conduct regular checks to prevent contamination and food wastage.

  • Monitor food inventory levels and prepare requisitions for necessary supplies.

  • Verify the quality and quantity of received food materials and supplies.

  • Prepare requisitions and purchase requests for food items and kitchen materials.

  • Minimize food wastage and maintain cost-effective food production.

  • Train and supervise kitchen staff on food preparation, hygiene, and safety practices.

  • Allocate duties, monitor staff performance and recommend improvements.

  • Ensure discipline and teamwork among kitchen personnel.

  • Comply with company policies and applicable health and safety regulations.

  • Prepare periodic reports on kitchen operations, food consumption, and inventory status.

  • Prepare reports related to kitchen performance, food costs, and operational efficiency.

  • Perform any other task assigned by the management as & when required.
