Job Context:

Café Barbera is looking for a skilled, passionate, and customer-focused Barista to join our beverage service team. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and other beverages while maintaining consistency, presentation, hygiene, and excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based beverages according to Café Barbera standards.

• Operate and maintain professional espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other beverage equipment.

• Prepare beverages such as Espresso, Americano, Cappuccino, Café Latte, Mocha, Macchiato, and other specialty coffees.

• Properly grind, dose, tamp, extract, and serve espresso.

• Steam and texture milk properly for different coffee beverages.

• Maintain consistency in taste, temperature, portion, and presentation.

• Prepare cold beverages, iced coffee, smoothies, and other drinks as per the menu.

• Take customer orders and provide friendly and professional service.

• Explain coffee and beverage options to customers when required.

• Maintain proper mise en place before and during service.

• Monitor coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other beverage ingredients.

• Ensure proper storage and handling of coffee and other ingredients.

• Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station, equipment, counters, and service area.

• Perform regular cleaning and basic maintenance of espresso machines and grinders.

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

• Coordinate with F&B Service, Kitchen, Cashier, and Restaurant Manager.

• Minimize wastage and maintain proper inventory usage.

• Support opening and closing duties of the café.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Barista Supervisor, Restaurant Manager, or management.
