Responsibilities & Context:

The Case Worker will support the protection, safeguarding, and well-being of FDMN (Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals) communities in Cox’s Bazar. The role focuses on implementing PSEA, GBV, and gender-sensitive programs, including awareness campaigns, capacity-building for community volunteers, and the operation of Safe Spaces/Women-Friendly Spaces. The Case Worker will identify protection concerns, facilitate case management and referrals, and ensure safeguarding measures are implemented for beneficiaries and staff.

The position also involves monitoring and evaluating protection services, supporting knowledge management, and assisting with surveys, data collection, and program impact assessments. The Case Worker will contribute to financial management for volunteers and program activities, assist with documentation and reporting, and participate in seasonal programs. This role requires frequent travel to remote project areas, engagement with diverse community groups, and strict adherence to organizational child protection and safeguarding policies.

Ensure PSEA, Safeguarding and awareness raising for establishing dignified living conditions of FDMNs (Forcefully displaced Myanmar’s Nationals) Community- 60%

  • Organize culturally appropriate awareness campaigns on gender equality, SRHR, and protection.

  • Facilitate and update referral pathways regularly.

  • Assist in training community volunteers and staff on protection principles, safeguarding, SRHR, GBV, and Psychological First Aid (PFA).

  • Verify selected rightsholders before activities.

  • Maintain Safe Spaces/Referral Hubs/Women-Friendly Spaces (WFS) in the target area.

  • Implement recreational and educational activities for women and girls in safe spaces.

  • Support capacity-building sessions on gender equality, survivor-centered approaches, and referral mechanisms.

  • Assist in training men and boys on healthy relationships, consent, and gender stereotypes.

  • Facilitate sessions on GBV prevention, SRHR, and STI awareness.

  • Distribute IEC and SBCC materials for awareness-raising activities.

  • Assist in developing training modules for community engagement and capacity-building activities.

  • Ensure safeguarding measures are implemented to protect project rightsholders and staff.

  • Promote a gender-friendly and safe working environment.

  • Support female volunteers and persons with disabilities to achieve program objectives.

  • Mentor volunteers to enhance performance and ensure accountability.

  • Identify volunteers’ learning and development needs and coordinate with project management to address gaps.

  • Assist in providing capacity-building training to volunteers.

  • Conduct household visits and assist volunteers in identifying GBV cases and protection issues.

  • Address protection concerns and facilitates case management and referrals.

Monitoring & evaluation and Knowledge Management- 15%

  • Monitor the effectiveness of referral mechanisms and protection services.

  • Assist in team meetings to share knowledge and findings for program improvement.

  • Support research, data collection, and impact assessment in alignment with the MEAL framework.

  • Assist in making the Complaint and Feedback Response Mechanism (CFRM) active and monitor it regularly.

  • Facilitate surveys such as KAP, Demographic, baseline, and endline gender analysis.

Financial Management- 10%

  • Ensure payment of volunteers and casual laborers following IR guidelines.

  • Assist in financial transactions related to cash distribution and financial management.

  • Support financial documentation, including bills, vouchers, PRs, money requisitions, and cash advances.

  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements

Reporting and Documentation- 10%

  • Assist in documentation and reporting of activities, including training sessions and awareness campaigns.

  • Support the submission of progress reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to project management.

  • Document and disseminate referrals (daily, weekly, monthly).

  • Document case stories and lessons learned from the field

Others- 5%

  • Participate in seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.

  • Assist in ensuring the security of project staff and volunteers.

  • Travel frequently to remote project areas as required.
