Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc. in Computer Science/Engineering from any UGC approved university
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Perform project leadership tasks on backup, storage and Server landscape to ensure service availability and SLA fulfillment, establish operation control by regular execution of operational tasks following processes and policies
∎ Direct daily operations of IT Systems, analyze workflow, establish priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines
∎ Identify potential areas for improvement, enhancement, and upgrades by maintaining a good working knowledge within team regarding capacity planning
∎ Lead, Review, standardizes & develops disaster avoidance to all recovery plans, including process and procedural standards to address routine, backup, redundancy and recovery architectures
∎ Periodically reviews and standardizes appropriateness of technologies used for the services and recommends modifications and/or upgrades necessary to keep systems operating
∎ Evaluate and implement information security solutions for system, storage and backup environment to investigate and resolve security violations
∎ Identify services for capacity planning, benchmark existing and planned capabilities against best practices, work with senior management, relevant team and vendor to identify complex challenges and propose solution of infrastructure services
∎ Ensure that restore procedures are configured and tested regularly, produce or modify disaster recovery and business continuity work practices
∎ Design and implement redundancy of systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets
∎ Forecast, plan, develop and implement the ICT budget, obtaining competitive prices from suppliers through procurement, to ensure cost effectiveness
Additional Requirements:
∎ 8 -10 years relevant experience
∎ Advance knowledge on system administration in different Unix platform.
∎ Advance knowledge on Operating System Cluster Administration.
∎ Advance knowledge on SAN Administration.
∎ Advance knowledge in virtualization of environment & enterprise backup and DR environment
∎ Moderate knowledge in Database administration's continuity concepts and practices
∎ Through knowledge in Information Security concepts and technologies
∎ Through knowledge in IT Service Management concept and processes.
∎ Storage analytical ability
∎ Strategic Planner
∎ Ability to comprehend industry and Technology trendAbility to understand, appreciate and troubleshoot platform related issues as highest level platform engineer in the company
