POSITION SUMMARY:

Bar Waiter/ Waiter is responsible for providing efficient and courteous service to guests in the bar area. The role involves taking orders, serving beverages and snacks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The Bar Waiter works closely with the bar team to deliver high-quality service, maintain hygiene standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Good communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude are essential for this role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet guests warmly and present menus in a timely manner.

• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the bar team.

• Serve drinks and snacks promptly while ensuring proper presentation standards.

• Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on guests regularly and responding to their needs.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, chairs, and bar service areas.

• Clear used glasses, plates, and utensils promptly.

• Follow hygiene, grooming, and safety standards at all times.

• Assist in setting up the bar before service and closing duties after service.

• Support bartenders in preparing garnishes, glassware, and bar supplies.

• Ensure proper handling and serving of alcoholic beverages in compliance with regulations.

• Handle guest complaints politely and report issues to the supervisor or manager.

• Promote menu items, special drinks, and ongoing promotions to guests.

• Monitor guest behavior and inform management of any issues or intoxicated guests.

• Maintain knowledge of beverage menus, ingredients, and preparation methods.

• Ensure accurate billing and proper use of POS systems.

• Collect payments and return change accurately where required.

• Assist in stock replenishment and report shortages to the supervisor.

• Follow instructions from supervisors and cooperate with team members.

• Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.

• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

• Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance during shifts.

• Adapt to busy service periods and support team members when needed.
