About the Role
This internship is a learning-focused opportunity to kickstart your career in professional backend development within a supportive and collaborative environment.
You will work with the Offshore IT Ltd. development team on real, impactful projects—building APIs, managing databases, and implementing server-side logic. This role offers hands-on experience across the full development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, development, testing, and collaboration with frontend and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing and maintaining backend services and APIs
Work with databases for data storage and retrieval
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with backend logic
Write clean, efficient, and reusable code
Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize backend performance
Participate in code reviews and team discussions
Apply MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture in development
Requirements
Basic knowledge of at least one backend technology (Node.js, Express.js, or Nest.js)
Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
Familiarity with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
Basic knowledge of AI tools and prompt engineering (e.g., ChatGPT)
Understanding of database optimization and performance tuning
Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication skills and eagerness to learn
