Responsibilities & Context:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced “Asst. Purchase Manager” who has a long experience in purchasing raw-materials for food products.

  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate and establish relationships with reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms.   

  • Raw Market Research: Analyze market trends and prices to ensure cost-effective purchasing strategies and stay ahead of industry changes. 

  • Quality Control: Ensure that all raw of food products meet quality standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.  

  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, forecast demand and manage reorder processes to prevent shortages or overstock situations. 

  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the purchasing budget, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and maximizing cost efficiency.     

  • Purchase Orders: Create and process purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy in transactions. 

  • Collaboration with Departments: Work closely with other departments (e.g., production, sales, quality assurance) to align purchasing needs with organizational goals.  

  • Supplier Performance Evaluation: Regularly assess supplier performance and implement improvement plans if necessary. 

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring continuity of supply. 

  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports on purchasing activities, costs and supplier performance to inform strategic decision-making.
