Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context

Meghna PVC Ltd. (MPVCL) is the sister concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI). This chemical unit is engaged in the production of PVC/PET Resin. We are currently looking for highly motivated, honest, proactive, and energetic individual for the position of Assistant Chemist / Chemist in our Chemical Plant. The position will be responsible for handling day-to-day operations and will report to the Department Head.

Job Responsibilities

  • Acquire samples of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products as per the sampling plan, preparing them for analysis with proper labeling and documentation.

  • Conduct chemical tests and sample analyses by operating laboratory equipment and instruments accurately, in order to generate precise and reliable data that supports production and quality decisions.

  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments including spectrophotometers, chromatographs, and pH meters, ensuring calibration and optimal functionality.

  • Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and quality control standards by following established laboratory procedures and regulatory guidelines, ensuring safe operations and compliance with industry requirements.

  • Facilitate effective communication within the team and across departments to resolve quality-related issues.

  • Generate and maintain documentation related to sample analysis, including reports, certificates of analysis, and other relevant records.

  • Contribute to improving safety performance by addressing physical safety concerns and fostering positive employee safety attitudes.
