Job Responsibilities:
∎ Must be Oracle certified DBA
∎ Must have .NET Programming skill.
∎ Installing and upgrading the database server and application tools.
∎ Assisting in database design, designing maintenance procedures and putting them into operation.
∎ Liaising with programmers, applications/operational staff, IT project managers and other technical staff.
∎ Commissioning and installing new applications and customizing existing applications in order to make them fit for purpose; modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers.
∎ Monitoring database efficiency, ensuring that databases meet user requirements.
∎ Troubleshooting and resolving database security and integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
∎ Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system.
∎ Enrolling users and maintaining system security; controlling and monitoring user access to the database.
∎ Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database.
∎ Planning and execution of database backup and recovery; preparing disaster recovery plans.
∎ Archiving data, maintaining archived data.
∎ Contacting database vendor for technical support.
∎ Generating various reports by querying from database as per need.
∎ Providing user training, support and feedback.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 24 to 28 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 1-3 years of experience in database development and support in Oracle or MS SQL Server environments.
∎ Must have .NET development skill.
∎ Communication skills.
∎ Knowledge of database theory & database design
∎ Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), SQL/PSM, Transact-SQL
∎ General understanding of distributed computing architectures, Client/Server, Internet/Intranet, Enterprise
∎ General understanding of the underlying operating system, Windows, Unix, Linux, z/OS
∎ General understanding of storage technologies, memory management, disk arrays, NAS/SAN, networking
∎ General understanding of routine maintenance, recovery, and handling failover of a Database.
∎ Experience of DBA work with commercial databases such as SQL Server, Oracle and others.
∎ Documentation skills for processes and procedures.
∎ Solid acquaintance with windows server, security delegation, SPNs, storage components.

∎ Should demonstrate team effort and leadership.
∎ Functional and Technical working experience in above mentioned areas.
