- Graduate/Post Graduate in Agronomy/Horticulture from a reputed Agricultural University.

Additional Requirements: - Overall 08-10 years relevant experience in the Seed, Agrochemical industry and prefer vegetable seed portfolio experience at least 5-7 years.
- Familiar with all functions and processes relating to developing, have managing capacity, be proactive, self-starter and be business focused.
- Positive and be an energetic team player, pleasant/people friendly with a warm personality, and willing to learn.
- Good communication skills. Be able to communicate well with employees at all levels in the organization.
- Excellent computer literacy, Microsoft/Google Office Suite, Power Bi and preparing presentations.
- Good analytical skills and business acumen.
Responsibilities & Context: Product Portfolio Management:
- Strategically manage the product portfolio based on business needs and requirements.
- Monitor product performance, lifecycle, pricing and profitability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the product mix.
Sales Support:
- Work closely with the sales team to facilitate product liquidation.
- Beginning of every month, organize a meeting with the sales team to provide necessary information and support to achieve monthly sales targets and discuss other relevant issues.
New Product Evaluation and Launch:
- Collaborate with the Product Development Team to evaluate new products.
- Organize Product Advisory Committee (PAC) and Market Introduction (MI) meetings for new products.
- Ensure timely launch of new segment products ahead of competitors.
- Register new products with Seed Wing, Ministry of Agriculture.
Market Insight and Strategy:
- Stay informed about market trends and future opportunities.
- Analyze product strengths, weaknesses, and positioning.
- Prepare periodical reports for the Country Manager on new and future products in the industry and competitor strategies.
- Measure and report to the Country Manager on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insights, and assess against goals.
Promotions and Campaigns:
- Develop unique promotional materials, and work to establish the EWS brand.
- Plan and execute pre- & post-seasonal comprehensive promotions and campaign activities (At least 3 times farmers meet in a crop-cycle).
- Organize farmer meetings to promote products.
- Frequent travel to the field with the support of the sales team to understand the required need and support for ongoing business.
- Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis, allocating funds wisely.
Relationship Building:
- Maintain good relations with relevant authorities (DAE, PQ, BARC, MOA, Research).
Issue Resolution:
- Lead efforts to resolve field issues in collaboration with sales and product development teams.
Overall Strategy Alignment:
- Align product strategy with group and local management goals.

Market Research and Understanding:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify gaps and trends. Understand our target audience, their preferences, and pain points.
- Monitor performance metrics, gather feedback, and iterate as needed.
- Analyze competitor strategies, pricing models, and market dynamics. Stay informed about industry developments.
Product Differentiation and Positioning:
- Clearly define our product’s unique value proposition (UVP). What sets it apart from existing offerings?
- Position our product strategically in the market. Consider factors like quality, features, and pricing.
- Create a compelling brand story that resonates with our audience.
Effective Pricing Strategy:
- Pricing plays a critical role in profitability.
- Consider factors such as transfer price, perceived value, and competitive pricing.
- Opt for a pricing model (e.g., cost-plus, value-based, or penetration pricing) that aligns with our business goals.
Promotional Activities and Campaigns:
- Leverage digital marketing, social media, and traditional channels.
- Encourage brainstorming sessions and idea sharing with cross-functional teams, for innovative ideas.
- Educate potential customers about our products through targeted campaigns, field days and on-site training.
- Collaborate with farmers, distributors, other stakeholders and offer special promotions.
- Provide excellent customer support. Address queries promptly and build trust.
- Making the best use of the marketing budget to execute effective marketing strategies.
